Maybe singing has been your thing for a while but you're thinking there is still space to improve. You're most likely right as there's always something to improve at.

The singing hints below will no doubt provide you with an idea to run with. Its all about practicing hard but keeping things new to keep your enthusiasm.

#1 - Schedule a Vocal Lesson

Fresh objective feedback from a teacher that actually wants to help will be priceless (if you can handle it). I state that because many folks don't wish to hear challenging but constructive opinions about their performance. They get defensive and overlook a learning opportunity. Really taking proper feedback on board accelerates the process of being a fantastic vocalist.

So even if you've taken lots of lessons in the past, it's possible that you might have picked up some bad vocal habits or who knows what. Pro singers keep up with a few lessons so why should not you?

#2 - Do Things Differently

I've got a guitarist friend making it a rule to always play something different whenever he picks up the guitar. Of course, he also has a steady practice method but the first 15 minutes or so is dedicated to doing something entirely different and this opens up all sorts of ideas.

So choose new tunes, styles of music, distinct vocal exercises and musicians to obey. Make it an artistic excursion into different land and you'll be amazed at what you learn! Remember that freshness on your mindset and style translates into freshness on your own performance.

#3 - Notice Things about Yourself

More frequently than not, excellent singers are extremely aware of how they're singing in conditions of their posture, breath support and tone placement. Think about such things when you're practicing so they become second nature when you are doing in front of others. Take notice of any strain on your body, especially in your neck and face, since this will have an impact on your sound and how you come across to others.
